As far as the deck not going to the floor. Check your deck lowering hook latch adjustment. It sounds like the lowering hook is not being blocked out on second ball.

When you say "left" finger. You are looking at the front of the machine? If so then you have 2 different problems. 1. The restricted drop link is or maybe out of adjustment. 2. Your full deck link is not engaging. Sometimes the oil pan will work it's way over causing this problem.

All these problems can possibly be caused by your deck lift shaft. Check to see if a bolt on either side has worked it's way out. Or a bearing might have blown out.

Is the pinsetter properly detecting strike, standing pins, and out of range at 90 degrees first ball? If not, that added to the problems you describe might point to a bad deck lift shaft bearing.

Does the left hand blocking finger come up so the pins can dump just after the pinsetter starts to cycle? If yes, check the gear box clutch adjustment. If no, the left hand blocking finger adjustment.

I had a machine that someone else had climbed on and kicked the link that controls the deck lowering hook and knocked it out of adjustment so it never lifted out of the way.

Re-adjust & tighten clamp so it doesn't happen again.
Good to go.

If the lowering hook doesn't raise high enough, it could cause what you describe.

Make sure the deck shaft bearings are good also. (what Eke said)

If the deck lowering link has bad bearings or some other problem it might not raise the deck high enough to move the 7 side blocking finger up or let the deck lowering hook engage and disengage.

The turret has to index after the pins dump before the 180 interlock will release and let the cycle continue.

The deck needs to go to spotting position to release the long turret link latch and raise the finger.
Sounds like the lowering hook isn't disengaging to let the link take over for spotting.
